My beginnings
The path to becoming a goldsmith took me from the Bohinj elementary school to Celje. I didn't like that time, as I was very homesick. After I finished my education and acquired my profession, the goldsmith school closed its doors forever.
During my studies, I had to find a goldsmithing internship, which I got in Kranj. I would like to thank Master Tone from Goldsmith Marolt, for his dedicated knowledge.
My first job in the jewelry industry was very industrial. Grinding and polishing castings day after day was exhausting. I, eager for design, was tossing around ideas on how to get rid of jewelry from molds, and then the economic crisis closed my workplace.
A stroke of luck set me on the path of becoming an independent entrepreneur. And this is where the realization of my vision begins.
Jewelry made from molds. Countless identical shapes. Jewelry without real energy. Even jewelry made with modern 3D technology doesn't touch me.
My way of working is that while designing, I learn about my manual skills and what can I do with simple jewelry tools.
Anyone who appreciates handmade work and uniqueness wears my jewelry.
Handicraft
Goldsmithing is a craft. Rough hands, cuts, burns, are part of the profession. The polishing paste sticks to my skin folds when I polish, but that's also part of goldsmithing. And yet. I simply love this job.
Hydrangeas and Edelweiss are two types of flowers that I love to make. They are and will be available as earrings in this online store.
Yellow gold is my favorite precious metal and I like to call it "butter." It shapes beautifully and doesn't cause the problems I see with the other two precious materials.
Goldsmith's tools
My philosophy is that less is more. To create what I imagine, basic jewelry tools are enough. When you know what a particular tool and device can do, the first step towards a new creation is taken.
Texture
Every product has to have a name stamp. But my signature is the texture, which I love. I like to see the material look as it does in nature. Especially with silver jewelry, which later acquires a natural patina, this organic look is even more visible.
